THE PLOT:
A tiny island is infested with roaches. But these aren't normal roaches, they are the newly created Nemesis Roach, designed
to rid the world of the common cockroach, but there is something wrong with the roach that eats roaches.
They have grown a taste for anything living. Cats, dogs, people. The sheriff investigates a series of strange crimes,
which is linked to the killer cockroaches. Soon, if that wasn't bad enough, the Nemesis Roach begins to transform into something
even the insane Doctor that created them never foresaw.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Here is a little trivia, the Producer is Julie Corman, Roger Corman's wife. This explains two things, how some stock footage
from this movie ends up in several Roger Corman movies and why they weren't happy with normal Rogers and God bless the Cormans'
for the latter. This movie would have sucked if they stuck to normal roaches, but the transforming into other monsters makes
it cool, very cool. I'm going to buy it ASAP cool. One of my favorite killer Cockroach movie, even better then MIMIC. I
give it...9 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I think speaking as a man, THE NEST could have used some skin. Roger could have made it happen. But other then that, I think
it was a great movie and a buried treasure. Watch the NEST and scratch. I too give it...9 STARS
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (Really cool cockroach creatures.)
+ STORY (Mutant roaches to kill other roaches going on a rampage works.)
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
+ KEEPING IT IN THE FAMILY (Roger Corman's wife Julie does a great job Producing this marvelous monster movie.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES)
- NEEDED NUDITY (Voltron thought it could have used some nudity.)
