THE PLOT:
Time has passed since the first wave of Critters terrorized the small town of Grover's Bend. But what they left behind, eggs
are discovered and thought to be the perfect thing for the annual Easter Egg hunt. So, the monster eggs are colored and placed
all over town. (Why they didn't hard boil them I'll never know.)
Once the colorful eggs hatch, the town is once again overwhelmed by the aliens mulching machies known as Kryts are on
another food frenzy and once again the townfolk and everything else that's edible is on the menu.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
The Critters have always been cool little monsters, they aren't just little omnivorous monsters that eat anything that won't
run away and then chase after it. They are smart, clever monsters with their own language and strategies. The interaction
between the characters work, the acting is great. The gore effects are effective. The story is a cool continuation from the
first movie. The new batch of Critters are cool and the rampage continues to be fun. But there is one character that gets
killed this go round, but I'm not saying which character. It was hard watching that character get it. But other then that,
I say that Critters 2 could be anyone's main course of a video feast. 9 STARS.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
Well, there isn't much more that I can add to the review other then the fact that I agree with Zedd on this. The Critters
series have always been one of the best series in the eighties. However, if you are not a fan of the first movie. Then most
likely you won't like any of it's sequels. 9 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CRITTERS (Critters are always cool.)
+ STORY (The second story is just as good as the first.)
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (The creature effects are cool.)
+ ACTING (The acting is great.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES)
- DEATH (It was a shame to lose this character. But what can you do.)
AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you are not a fan of the first movie, then this is not the movie for you.)
