THE PLOT:
A message is picked up by the SETA project, a message from deep space. A message that included DNA, alien DNA that also included
a way to merge them with human DNA. Doing so created Sil, but when the project is terminated and Sil is ordered terminated.
She escapes and flees for her life.
On the run Sil has one thing on her mind mate and procreate with a human. But not just any human, a perfect human. Was
the message really a message of peace or a trap. For Sil's children may be the end of us all.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
This is a pretty cool movie, the Sil monster is one of the coolest monster designs since ALIEN, Giger created this creature
as well. The character are mostly likable. There are some minor character issues I like to mention, but nothing to go nuts
over. The basic plot is a tad weak but workable. There really is nothing to point out bad about the plot except for the fact
they were stupid to create SIL to begin with. But of course, if they didn't, we would not have a plot. The cast is outstanding
and Natasha Henstridge is a real hotty. I think this is best thing Ben Kingsley did since GHANDI. All and all an almost perfect
flick that is worth watching over and over again. This is a must for any fan of ALIEN or Giger. I give it...9 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree with Zedd on this, this is some old fashion monster movie fun and worth watching over and over again. The cast is
great and the effects are perfect. I give it...9 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
+ EFFECTS (The effects are incredible.)
+ CREATURE DESIGN (Giger does a great job and this new creature design is cool.)
+ STORY (A little weak, but cool not the less.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES)
- MINOR CHARACTER ISSUES (There are some issues I have with some of the minor character.)
- WEAK AT POINTS (The story does get weak.)
AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on alien related movies or nudity, then this is not the film for you.)
